A Dream That Began by the Ocean

For twenty-two years, I taught economics to teenagers. Every summer, my family would escape to the peaceful shores of Parksville Beach. Those holidays became more than a tradition—they became a reminder of the life I truly wanted.

There was something about the ocean breeze, the slower pace, and the warmth of this community that always made me feel at home.

A New Chapter

Nine years ago, a small boutique became available just steps from the coast. My husband, Tom, looked at me across the kitchen table, and without saying a word, we both knew it was time.

I handed in my resignation, we moved to beautiful Vancouver Island, and Marys Parksville Beach was born.

Since then, it has been my greatest joy to help women find clothing that feels as comfortable as it is beautiful. I have always believed that style has no age—it should simply make you feel confident, relaxed, and completely yourself.

Time to Say Goodbye

Now, at sixty-three, I have decided it is time to retire.

Not because something went wrong—but because everything went wonderfully right. After years of meeting incredible women and building a boutique I truly love, I know this chapter has reached its natural ending.

As I prepare for retirement, every remaining piece is being offered at the lowest prices I have ever been able to offer.
